Tyler Perry stars as the titular detective in the film adaptation of the James Patterson novel “I, Alex Cross,” with Cicely Tyson and Carmen Ejogoas his mother and wife. When his wife is murdered, Perry’s character goes on a mission to hunt down the crazy killer before he strikes again.
